The marina of Marina del Rey, CA is North America's largest man-made small-craft harbor and is home to an estimated 4,600+ boats - from Kayaks to Mega-Yachts. Sea Lions, Harbor Seals and a variety of birds can be seen lazing about on the docks and rock jetties. You’ll see many bird species (Herons, Egrets, Gulls, Pelicans, Cormorants, Osprey, Mallards and other ducks, etc) Be sure your camera is handy as we will pass by some of the many well-known yachts docked in Marina del Rey!

First, a bit of sightseeing around the marina. With over 4000 slips of small kayaks to mega yachts, Marina del Rey is one of the largest small craft harbors in the world. Sea Lions, Harbor Seals and several bird species can be seen lazing about on the docks and rock jetties.
Then we’ll hoist sails and head into the bay, sailing past Venice Pier and the Santa Monica Boardwalk toward The Santa Monica Pier and its famed Ferris Wheel and Roller Coaster with spectacular views of the Getty Center and Malibu coastline before heading back to the Marina.

Malibu | Redondo - King Harbor
First, a bit of sightseeing around the marina. With over 4000 slips of small kayaks to mega yachts, Marina del Rey is one of the largest small craft harbors in the world. Sea Lions, Harbor Seals and several bird species can be seen lazing about on the docks and rock jetties.
Then we’ll sail past the rock jetty into the Santa Monica Bay.
In the mood to see the Venice Pier, Santa Monica Boardwalk and Malibu coastline? Ask your captain to head North.
Or maybe you’d like to search for sea life - Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, Dolphins and the occasional Gray Whale (during migration season.) Ask your captain to head South.
Keep your eyes alert! Dolphins can often be seen swimming by, from the point at Palos Verdes to Malibu.
Heading south, we follow the shoreline of Playa del Rey and Dockweiler Beach, then head out and watch the Sea Lions catching a bit of sun on the floats around the Chevron natural gas transfer freighters. Continuing on past the shorelines of Manhattan and Hermosa Beaches and into Redondo Beach - King Harbor where the Sea Lions have their own 700 sq. ft. Barge. Sea Lions are more social than seals, their second cousins, and spend more time out of the water, congregating in groups called herds or rafts.

Serenity proudly carries her US Coast Guard UPV sticker showing that she meets all requirements for safe commercial yacht charter, is fully licensed with LA County and will only meet you and your guests at legal pickup area(s) in the marina. Serenity is available for private charter ... no bareboat.
